Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, is a singer-songwriter and Canadian American. Her work has been featured on more than 20 studio albums. DiFranco classifies her music as folk-rock and alternative, but it also includes influences like hip-hop, punk and jazz. Ani Difranco is considered to be a symbol of music that is feminist. In 1990 she was one of the first to establish her own label independently. DiFranco's parents, Elizabeth (Ross), a ex-student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each other while they were each attending. Her father is of Italian roots and her mother was born in Montreal. 32 Flavors is a hit song written as well as performed by Ani DiFranco.
