Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born South London, England into an ethnically diverse family. Her father is a Nigerian-Swiss, as is her mom who's English. She was a student at The Brit School when she was 14. She pursued acting studies at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. She was a part of various stages during her high school days, including the King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began acting with Storm Damage. Since then, she's been a guest star on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's film debut was in Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), with Colin Farrell. Following that success, she played Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as appearing in six episodes of Trexx and Flipside in the role of Ollie. In 2008 she landed Bambi's role on ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. The actress was on both series 2 and 3. Madekwe made an appearance in the comedy film How to Lose Friends & Affect People. Her stage credits include Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe was chosen to play Ashley Davenport on the ABC show The Beautiful Life. The two-episode show aired only for 2 weeks at The CW and then it ended. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge as of February 2011. Madekwe was a regular on the ABC drama series Revenge in two episodes. The show was announced in May 2013 that she would be leaving the series following an appearance in the initial episode of season three. From 2014-2016, Madekwe starred as Tituba in the TV series Salem. Then, in June of 2012 she married her long-time boyfriend, actor Iddo Goldberg. They have worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl in the past, and Goldberg is also a part of the cast on the show Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress who was twice nominated for a Gemini Award, hails from a large Hamilton family. Her parents Roy and Patty and the four brothers of her, Brett, Todd, and Bram, were all present. Ashley was raised in the arenas and baseball parks because her brothers, who were all athletic, played hockey and baseball and basketball in spring and summer. Ashley did not have the ability to walk. She was a dancer. At two and a half, she was a part of Baby Ballet. That was the start of Ashley's love for dancing. Ashley continued to compete until her high-school graduation with top divisions like ballet, tap, Jazz Pointe, Acrobatics, Pointe Musical Theatre, Lyrical Hip Hop, and much more. Additionally, she was awarded best soloist awards at all major dance contests, like the International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more.
