Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born on March 14, 1997 in Columbus Ohio U.S.A. At the 2016 Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals at one Games and was also the first gymnast to earn three consecutive World All-around championships (2013-15). Biles is a native of Spring Texas. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) adopted them. They were raised in the metropolitan areas of Houston. Simone first became interested in gymnastics when she was only six years old. The coach Aimee Borman invited her to Bannon's Gymnastix which was where they went to an outing. Biles won the vault and floor exercise at the 2009 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships before getting to the elite competition level in 2011. In just two short years, she became the best in her sport. Biles stood out for her consistent, having an exuberant energy and joyful personality. She also integrated the most difficult of exercises in all of her competitions - vault uneven bar floor exercises.
